Coming from India, my vision of farm life in Italy was much like it would be in a movie – fields of olive plantations, lines of grapevines, shaggy dogs, rolling hills,  animals, and a cosy cottage in the middle of it all. Its strange how things change within what seems to be a very short time. Lifestyles and food habits seem to have gone topsy turvy in our very own life time – blame it on political decisions, economic influences, consumerism or whatever else you wish to blame it on, but I still cannot understand the tipping point when common sense and simple habits went out of the window for concrete, urban choices.
